When it comes to emergency breathing equipment, a drop tank hanging at a depth of 5m is rarely the best option (except for wreck diving maybe).
During the Practical Application skill 5 “Deep Dive Scenario”, our Divemaster trainees also learn to set up a sling tank (removal of LPI & primary reg + spg on short hose) and dive with it in trim (chocker bungee)
Air redundancy during the whole dive is a “must have” for challenging dives, especially when guiding other divers!
