World class Diving

CAN I CHOOSE MY DIVE SITE ? YES ! with Amed White Sand Divers, FUNDIVERS REALLY CHOOSE THEIR DIVE SITES in Amed & Tulamben. Having the full choice of your dive site is rare and it is our priority because we want our fundivers to have an unforgettable diving adventure. We are a family-run dive center in Amed Tulamben and we only dive in small groups of usually 2/maximum 3 divers of the same level for 1 dive guide. What matters to us is Quality & Safety : After a check dive, you just need to talk to your dive guide to select what YOU want to dive next : reef, macro/muck, wreck, drift, wall, cavern or guided Tec dives

We go everyday for 2 morning dives in Amed and/or Tulamben with a hotel pick up at around 8am in Amed area. Afternoon dives & night dives are always possible : you just need to inform your dive guide when back from your 2 morning dives. Early morning dives (5:30am) are available too.

HOW DO I BOOK FUNDIVES ? You just need to contact us the day before by 6:30pm by WhatsApp/Tel (in high season, better book 3/4 days in advance). No deposit is required and our driver will pick you up at your hotel in Amed the next morning  (free of charge) !

Stay in 1 of our 8 hotels and get the special price of 900 000 for 2 morning Fundives all included !

DIVE SITES AMED

In Amed, we have it all : reef, deep reef, muck/macro, wrecks (Japanese & Marina shipwrecks), walls and also driftdives with intensity from 1 to 10 for lovers of big stuff : Just tell us your number from 1 to 10 and we will take you there after a check dive !

The bottom structure of our different bays is very unique : it changes from bay to bay between powder fine sand up to huge vulcanic boulders. This creates complete different reefs and coral life for our scuba divers.

DIVE SITES TULAMBEN

Diving in Tulamben is spectacular and diverse : 2 shipwrecks : Liberty & Boga wrecks ; Colourful walls : Drop Off, Batu Niti, Batu Kelebit ; World-class Macro : Melasti, Seraya secrets ; Cavern : Pura Gerombong.

The USAT Liberty is one of the most famous wrecks in the world. Next to the Liberty, the Tulamben drop off is a splendid wall dive that we highly recommend whatever your dive level. It drops below 100m and conditions are good for Guided Tec Dives if you like greater depths. A decorated cavern can also be found in the area and world-class muck dive sites offer underwater photographers an endless flow of rare and even endemic critters.

Our 4 permanent dive guides, all fluent in English will spot the smallest macro stuff for you ! Just inform them about your bucket list: at WSD it is YOU who chooses the dive sites !

GILI SELANG DRIFT

Experience the thrill of strong currents surrounded by big stuff !

Gili Selang is a small island lying off Bali’s most eastern point. This dive site is by far the most challenging dive site in Bali, suitable only for experienced divers with 100 logged dives minimum. The strong current, unpredictable and sometimes downward will guarantee you an adrenaline drift dive with jacks, tunas and sharks. Visibility is always good and the water colder than in the other sites of the area.

This 2 dive boat trip is subject to tides and weather conditions. We only take you there if we are 100 % sure that you can handle the conditions, therefore you need to dive with us before this trip.
Divers with less experience can still safely dive inside of Gili selang bay with amazing coral formations.

DAY TRIP NUSA PENIDA

Nusa Penida is located between Bali and lombok and is famous for excellent diving. This island offers very clear water, usually colder than on Balis reefs and excellent coral life.

In Manta Point, you have a 99 % chance, all year round,  of diving with these amazing giants.

Crystal bay is a great dive site to meet the oceanic Sunfish or Mola mola, from June till November. The other reefs offer great fishlife with the chance of spotting bigger pelagics.

We offer full daytrips to Nusa Penida : We will first bring you to Padang Bay, then board a speedboat and do 2 wonderful dives.

Manta Point is always included.

TEC DECOMPRESSION DIVES

You are a Tec diver ! Sidemount or backmount ? 1 or 2 deco ? RunTime or TTS ?

Just come to Amed White Sand Divers and meet Pierre. When the training dives with his students are finished, he dives deco most of the time with 3 or 4 tanks. The Tulamben drop-off, Batu Niti, Pura Segara, Mutiara, Ghost Bay or Batu Ringgit are great for Tec diving and Mola-mola can be spotted by rising tides at a depth of 50m (this lazy fish simply follows the tides).

Christian (TDI ANDP) review 06/09/2025: “I did a fun tec dive with Amed White Sand Divers, and it was an excellent experience. The dive center is well-organized, professional, and caters not only to recreational divers but also to experienced and technical divers. I dived in sidemount configuration down to 45m, guided by Pierre, who was both highly professional and a great dive buddy throughout the dive. The dive site itself was fantastic — healthy corals, abundant marine life, and very good visibility made it a memorable experience. Overall, I can highly recommend Amed White Sand Divers, especially for those looking for a reliable and professional center for tec diving in Amed.”
