Most dive sites in Amed and Tulamben are easy and suitable for divers of all levels, from beginners to experts. It is not needed to dive deep to enjoy a beautiful colourful reef with elephant-ear sponges, gorgonians and thousands of fish and turtles.  12m, the maximum depth for the introdives is already enough for all that ! However, an advanced level and a minimum of 100 dives are recommended for the drift dives of Deep Blue, Golden Rock, Kusambi and a must for Gili Selang Drift !
